About the Role<\/h2>\n

As the Category Buyer for Home and Living, you will be the creative and commercial force behind our client’s product offering. You will curate ranges that resonate with the modern consumer while rigorously managing margins. By identifying emerging trends and forging strong vendor partnerships, you will ensure the category remains competitive, inspiring, and highly profitable.<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities<\/h2>\n
    \n
  • Source and select commercial ranges of Home and Living products that align with brand strategy.<\/li>\n
  • Negotiate trading terms, pricing, and delivery schedules with local and international suppliers.<\/li>\n
  • Develop and implement strategic category plans to drive market share and revenue growth.<\/li>\n
  • Analyse consumer trends, competitor activity, and sales data to inform purchasing decisions.<\/li>\n
  • Collaborate with merchandise planners to build optimal assortment and inventory plans.<\/li>\n
  • Drive the product development cycle from initial concept through to store delivery.<\/li>\n
  • Manage supplier performance, ensuring adherence to quality standards and ethical sourcing guidelines.<\/li>\n
  • Conduct regular range reviews to optimise product mix and eliminate underperforming lines.<\/li>\n
  • Work closely with marketing to develop compelling promotional strategies for the category.<\/li>\n
  • Present seasonal range launches to internal stakeholders and executive management.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Minimum Requirements<\/h2>\n
      \n
    • Degree or Diploma in Purchasing, Retail Management, or a related commercial discipline.<\/li>\n
    • Minimum of 4 years of buying experience, ideally within the Home and Living or homeware sector.<\/li>\n
    • Proven track record of successful domestic and international supplier negotiation.<\/li>\n
    • Experience in end-to-end product development and range curation.<\/li>\n
    • Willingness to travel for trade shows and supplier visits as required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
