Job Description

Work as a Merchandise Planner for one of South Africa’s top grocery retailers. Ensure accurate forecasting, inventory optimization, and alignment with sales objectives in a high-demand retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze historical sales data to forecast product demand.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels to reduce stockouts and overstock situations.
• Collaborate with suppliers and the buying team to ensure timely delivery.
• Develop promotional plans in coordination with the marketing team.
• Prepare detailed reports on performance metrics and provide actionable insights.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related fields.
• 5+ years of merchandise planning experience in a retail or FMCG environment.
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems.
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure retail setting.
