As the Senior Manager – Property Development for our client, a prominent real estate investment firm, you will oversee end-to-end development lifecycles in a fast-paced market. This pivotal Senior Manager – Property Development role is designed for a strategic leader who can manage complex projects, ensure quality delivery, and robustly support broader business objectives.

About the Role

The Senior Manager – Property Development will take ownership of the property development division, driving projects from initial feasibility studies through to final handover. Operating across Gauteng, you will be instrumental in shaping urban landscapes and maximising asset value.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the full lifecycle of property development projects from concept to completion.
• Conduct comprehensive feasibility studies and risk assessments for prospective land acquisitions.
• Manage and coordinate external contractors, architects, and engineering consultants.
• Develop and meticulously manage project budgets, ensuring commercial viability and profitability.
• Navigate local municipal regulations to secure necessary zoning and building approvals.
• Ensure all development projects adhere to strict quality standards and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align development outcomes with strategic business objectives.
• Implement rigorous project management methodologies to track progress and mitigate delays.
• Negotiate favourable terms with suppliers and service providers to optimise procurement.
• Provide regular, detailed progress reports to the executive board and investors.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Property Development, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in commercial or residential property development.
• At least 3 years in a management or leadership position within the real estate sector.
• Extensive knowledge of the Gauteng property market and municipal by-laws.
• Proven portfolio of successfully delivered, multi-million-rand development projects.
